York city officials say a blaze at New York Wire Company on East Market Street caused $10,000 in damage.
The fire chief says just after 9:30 last night, excess coating dripped off some wires, sparking flames in a hot drying tower on top of the building.
The fire itself wasn't big, but was very difficult to get to, forcing crews to use the roof.
Crews have been called to the business for similar fires before.
About 25 employees were evacuated but were able to return to work.
Fortunately no one was hurt.
