Just after noon on Friday, a woman was injured after being robbed in the parking lot near the Giant on Lititz Pike in Warwick Township.

The 54-year-old woman was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for head injuries and possible fractures after being dragged by a car operated by the robber’s accomplice.

The car involving the two suspects entered the parking lot and the female suspect exited the car. The driver moved to a parking spot close to the point of exit.

The female robber waited for a potential victim and then confronted her, taking her purse. The woman then chased the fleeing female suspect.

The female suspect ran to a nearby parked car, which was operated by a male suspect. As the victim tried to grab her purse, the man put the car in reverse and the victim was dragged about 80 feet before being ejected.

The investigation determined the driver of the vehicle ejected the victim, then passed a vehicle stopped at a crosswalk to let pedestrians cross, almost striking the pedestrians.

Both the male driver and the female robber fled the scene.

The female is identified as white female, between 19 and 22 years old, brown or auburn hair, green eyes, glasses, about 5 foot 6 inches with medium build.

The male is a white male, 30 to 34 years old, brown hair, blue eyes, about six feet tall, thin build and was wearing a white t-shirt.
