A star from Discovery's "Amish Mafia" appeared in court on Friday.

With his attorney by his side, Alan Beiler, walked into the Perry County courthouse, in New Bloomfield. Beiler faces charges of drug possession and leading Pennsylvania State Police on a high speed chase. Beiler led police on a chase through Duncannon back in July.

Fans of "Amish Mafia", gathered at the courthouse, trying to catch a glimpse of the reality star in person.  "You know you watch him on TV every week, and find out he's up here.  So you should come up to see what's he's up to," said fan Colby Helt.

Other fans said as soon as they found out he'd be in town, they knew they would show up to see him.

But despite Beiler's celebrity status, he is facing some serious charges.

Overall, he is charged with more than 30 violations.  Included in those 30 violations, a felony; eluding police and driving without a license.

Beiler told the judge, he would wave his right to a preliminary hearing.
