Gov. Tom Corbett, Maj. Gen. Tony Cucolo, and the United States Army War College community will honor the police, firemen, emergency responders, civilians, and Soldiers who perished on September 11 and those who have sacrificed their lives in the past decade defending the nation with a somber remembrance ceremony.

The Carlisle Barracks community will gather on Tuesday, September 11 to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the attacks. Participants will honor the War College graduates who have died due to hostile action since the attacks. The ceremony will start at 8:40 a.m. and will take place in front of Root Hall Carlisle Barracks, Pa.

The Sept. 11 attacks have had profound effects on the military careers of the current 290 Army War College students and the other military graduates in recent years. These service members have spent a good portion of their careers responding to the Sept. 11 attacks by fighting the battles, planning deployments, logistics, and strategies, and training the force. This ceremony will be a chance to reflect on the victims, their comrades, and their past, present, and future missions.
