The Harrisburg City Police Department has arrested Mahmoud Awad, 52, after an undercover operation.
According to police, on February 20th, detectives were told that Awad was seeking to meet with teenage girls to engage in sex.
The detectives arranged for a woman to meet with Awad at a fast food restaurant in Harrisburg. Awad and the woman talked about his desire for teenage girls and prices for sex acts.
Police say an undercover officer posed as a 15-year-old prostitute, called Awad and arranged a meeting for sex.
Awad met the officer at a motel and agreed to pay her for sex acts. A team of Vice Unit detectives entered the motel room and took Awad into custody without incident.
He was taken to Dauphin County Prison.
