Middletown Borough Police arrest Delaware fugitive

The Middletown Borough Police Department arrested a Delaware fugitive after a traffic stop.

The man was wanted for violating his probation, was arrested early Thursday morning, after a Borough Police Officer stopped the car he was driving.  Police say there were three other passengers, including a juvenile were also arrested.

Edwin Sterlyn Baine, 32, of New Castle, Delaware was driving in the 200 block of North Union Street. Police say he was driving in an erratic manner. 

When police stopped Baine, they found numerous bags of suspected heroin and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia and alcohol.

Baine was wanted for violating his Delaware probation related to drug offenses.  He is now charged with fugitive from justice, possession of Heroin, possession of a small amount of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, corruption of minors, DUI and traffic offenses.

Police also charged Ashlee Nikole Dorris, 20, of New Castle, Delaware.  Dorris faces charges including, possession of Heroin, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, furnishing alcohol to minors and corruption of minors.

Police also charged Ashlee Nikole Dorris, 20, of New Castle, Delaware, with Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Furnishing Alcohol to Minors, and Corruption of Minors.

George W. Lewis, 27, of New Castle, Delaware, was charged with possession of a small amount of Marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three will be arraigned on the charges.

A 16-year-old female passenger was also taken into custody.  She was transferred to the Schaffner Center to await charges in the juvenile court system.
