President Obama and lawmakers have until midnight before cuts go into effect.  Lawmakers in Washington have said these cuts won't be felt immediately.

Most changes won't happen until April, and that's good news for travelers, at least for now.

Officials with Harrisburg International Airport say while the sequestration talk has included cutting TSA workers at security check points, no official notification has been made to change anything at HIA at this point.

"We don't have any info about cuts, we actually said March 1st everything as it was on February 28." Said Marshall Stevens, Executive Director at HIA, says he too has heard the rumors and the talk about cutting TSA hours.

He says it frustrates him that air travel is being used as a scare tactic with political posturing.

Stevens says if there are any cuts the earliest they would happen would be in April. He says the talk of possible cuts might be things like cutting overnight air traffic controllers and possibly closing some towers at the smaller airports.

But he said very firmly he couldn't confirm anything was scheduled for HIA, since no one has officially said anything.
so for now, passengers will not notice any changes.
