During February 2013, Upper Allen Police began an investigation into allegations that 61-year-old Stanley Richwine had sexually assaulted an acquaintance. The investigation revealed that Richwine had been engaging in sexual contact with juvenile under the age of 13 from July 2012 through January 2013 while he lived in Carlisle and Upper Allen Township.
On March 1, 2013 Upper Allen Police arrested Richwine at his home. He is being charged with Rape, Statutory Sexual Assault, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors and Unlawful Contact with a Minor.
Richwine was arraigned by District Judge Richard Dougherty and committed to Cumberland County Prison under $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11, 2013 before District Judge Brenda Knepper.
