Two men are hospitalized following separate shootings early this morning in Harrisburg. Police say one victim is suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The first shooting occurred around 1:10 this morning inside Double-D's bar on South 19th Street. Thirty minutes later police responded to a report of shots fired in Hall Manor where they faced an unruly crowd of spectators.

Harrisburg Police Cpt. Annette Oates:
"It seems nowadays people decide to settle fights with guns instead of talking it out."

When police arrived at Hall Manor an unruly crowd was in the area. The shooting was apparently the result on an earlier argument at a bar on Allison Hill. The victim, a 26-year-old black male, suffered life-threatening injuries from the gun shot. He was taken to Hershey Medical Center. The investigation was compounded by bystanders.

Captain Oates:
"There was just a large number of people out there which became unruly. We had to call the assistance of the county to come in and assist with crowd control."

The shooting 30 minutes earlier was the second at Double-D's bar this summer. The victim was a 24 year-old black male. This shooting. was the result of a disagreement between two patrons.

Captain Oates:
"There was an altercation inside the bar. It started out verbal, then it turned physical. A shot was fired, and the victim was shot in the hip. He was transported to Harrisburg Hospital by private vehicle and he underwent surgery."

Police believe there were witnesses to both shootings. They are asked to call police with any information relative to this shootings.
