The Northern York County Regional Police Department is investigating after 48 tire and wheel combinations were taken from a business in the first block of Winship Road in Manchester Township.
Police are looking at surveillance cameras at neighboring businesses show that a U-Haul truck entered the parking lot of the business on February 27 around 1:30 a.m.
The video shows the truck leaving the parking lot around 2:48 a.m. Police say sometime between those hours the suspect(s) cut a hole into a fence in the tire storage area and removed 48 newly mounted tires. The tires were rolled down an embankment to the U-Haul truck.
Police say the total loss exceeds $15,000. The tires were all 22" truck tires used for tractor trailers.
