Police are investigating a late night murder-suicide. It's a story we brought to you as breaking news on CBS 21 News live at 11.

As police investigate, people in the area are in shock.

The shooting happened at a home at 3512 Cloverfield Road. The concern from neighbors is that the shootings took place both inside and outside the house.

"I woke up to hear four or five gunshots," explained frightened neighbor John Hatchet. “She was yelling help me, help me, help me."

The late night shooting shocked John Hatchet meanwhile.

Curiosity brought Ed ‘Shugie’ Proctor back to the scene Friday. He says he was driving by Thursday night when the shootings happened.

He adds he couldn't believe what he saw on the front lawn. “I seen it was a body, I backed up and I called 911 on my cell phone,” Proctor told us.

He says police quickly arrived and he left.

Susquehanna Township Police confirm this was a domestic-related murder-suicide.

We are told 45-year-old Thomas Kennedy lived in the home. He was shot multiple times and found dead near the road.

43-year-old Joseph Canero of Camp Hill and his wife were also at the house.

“Mr. Canero, had a type of altercation with his wife,” explained Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick. “She received an injury, he went to the back yard and had a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head.”

Police say both Joseph and his wife were taken to the hospital. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries, but Joseph died at the hospital.
