Wrightsville Borough has declared a snow emergency, effective 6 PM, Tuesday until 6 AM Thursday.
The snow emergency means residents must remove parked vehicles from the snow emergency route by 6 PM, Tuesday or they may be ticketed and towed. The police will not issue warnings.
The snow emergency was declared to help ensure the safety of the community by allowing plows to clear streets.
Residents with questions should contact Wrightsville Borough at 252-2768 between the hours of 9 AM and 2 PM or preferably visit the Borough website @ www.wrightsvilleborough.com.
Officials urge residents to move cars from the roads completely. They also are warning residents some driveways may become blocked during snowplowing operations and crews cannot go back to clear blocked driveways.
Officials are asking residents with blocked driveways to wait until street plowing is completed to clear driveways. They also ask residents not to put snow back on plowed streets, they say it is a violation of Borough ordinances to throw, deposit or shovel snow into streets and alleys.
