From Lancaster City Police:

At approximately 8:12 pm on Thursday, September 13th, 2012, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Howard Ave. for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival officers observed a male victim, city resident, standing on the front porch of a residence suffering from a large laceration on his left arm. The victim stated that he and the suspect, later identified as Alejandro "Alex" Castillo-Contreras, were involved in an argument. As a result of that argument, Castillo-Contreras attacked the victim with a machete.

Officers interviewed witnesses and learned that Castillo-Contreras was at a residence in the 500 block of Terrace Road in Lancaster City. Officers did locate Castillo-Contreras in the block, and after witnesses identified him as the individual who attacked the victim with a machete, he was taken into custody.

The victim was transported to Lancaster General Hospital where he was treated for a fractured elbow and a large laceration.

Officer Jason Hagy charged 17-year-old Alejandro Yasmani Castillo-Contreras with Aggravated Assault as an adult under a direct file approved by the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office:

Castillo-Contreras was committed to the Lancaster County Prison in default of $50,000 bail.
