A former state police employee is finding himself on the other side of the law, accused of stealing over $30,000 from his department.
A civilian employee with state police faced a number of charges today including forgery and theft.
42-year-old Scott Frederick worked as a budget analyst within the Bureau of Staff Services, but was fired back in June.
Wednesday, he was officially charged with a list of offenses for allegedly diverting fictitious reimbursement checks into his own personal accounts. Officials say Frederick deposited 23 fraudulent checks totaling over $30,000 from his department over an eight month period.
Scott Frederick has been released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
