18-year-old Anthony Ramsey Junior of Steelton was shot and killed the night of August 19th at an apartment complex on West Main Street in Middletown.
At first, police reported it as a home invasion, then a drug deal gone bad. But Ramsey's mother, Jamillah London, says her son never sold drugs. Word on the street is that he was set up; killed for some money he never stole.
" You shouldn't speculate until you get the full details, because all kids make bad choices, he was not a bad kid," said Jamillah London, son was shot and killed in Middletown.
When she called Middletown Police with new information, she says they shut her down.
" He said, ' Well do you want me to be blunt with you?' I said yeah. He said, ' Detective Hetrick doesn't want to talk to you. The reason he's not contacting you is because he doesn't want to talk to you,' " said London.
Jamillah also asked to see the body.
"The coroner told me I couldn't identify my son and I'm just like why? Why? I don't understand what's being covered up. Why can't I identify my son? I didn't get to see him until the viewing," said London.
The death certificate is something else that raises an eye brow for this mom. It states that her son died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. It doesn't say anything about the huge lumps she saw on his forehead at the viewing. And it doesn't match the story from police either, who told her he'd also been shot in the arm.
" It makes me feel like there's something being hidden. That they're not telling the truth about something and I want justice. I want answers," said London.
London says investigators said the shooter performed CPR on her son after he shot him. They did take him in for questioning but let him go and didn't file any charges.
The Dauphin County District Attorney says this case is still under investigation and something new could develop with it next week.
