UPDATE:

State Police in Berks County found an unlikely and unwanted guest in a resident's pond. A common site on Florida golf courses, this reptile made quite a splash.

His name is Little Rocky and he's small. But he's not exactly the cute, cuddly type of pet you'd bring home for your kids.

Only 3 feet or so, he’s small and looks harmless. But State Police don't take chances with anyone or any animal in custody, so instead of hand cuffs he got his mouth taped shut.

Except for a few onlookers, he was kept in solitary confinement.

He was found in an outdoor fishing pond in Berks County and now this little guy is orphaned and is looking for a new home.

The PA State Police Reading barracks got a call from a Mertztown man, Robert J. Hipp, about an alligator in his outdoor fish pond today.  Hipp found an approximately three foot long gator, who is now known as "Little Rocky".  Hipp and his kids managed to catch Little Rocky and put him in a box until state police arrived.

State police are in contact with Lehigh Valley Zoo about taking Little Rocky.

Any agency that can assist with Little Rocky please call Reading PSP.
