The investigation into a homicide that left 18 year old Calvin Beam dead is continuing in Chambersburg after police say they have many tips and leads.

Chambersburg police say they don't have any new details in the case but they are following leads provided by the public. The Franklin County district attorney has also joined in the investigation.

18-year-old Calvin Beam was murdered around 10:30 Monday night.

Police found Beam in the area of Franklin Street and Martin Avenue in Chambersburg. After being taken to Chambersburg hospital he was flown to Hershey medical center where he later died.

Wednesday night Beam's family and friends held a vigil to honor his memory, but what started with prayers and tears ended in police breaking up a near riot after arguments, threats, and guns allegedly became involved.

Witnesses on scene believe that one of the people that showed up and started causing trouble was involved in his murder. Police say no one was arrested at the event.

The family has not heard from police about the investigation since the murder happened Monday night.
