Police in Lebanon County investigating a shots fired call find a stolen gun and man wanted on drug charges. Last night police were called to the 600 block of Canal Street for the report of shots fired. A witness called indicating they heard shots fired in the area then heard tires squealing. The witness said they saw a small gray car leaving the area. Police arrived to the scene and saw a small gray vehicle in the area of 7th & Canal Sts. People inside the car got out and went into a home at 502 N 7th St.
Police talked to the people and and found a stolen .380 handgun in the kitchen of the residence. The gun was reported stolen in Georgia. The firearm did not appear to have been recently fired. Police also found 25 yr old Lawrence Graves from Lebanon at that address. Graves had two outstanding warrants for Delivery of a Controlled Substance as a result of a Lebanon County Drug Task Force investigation. He was arrested and arraigned on the charges. He was placed in Lebanon County Correctional Facility on $70,000 bail.
Police did not locate any evidence of shots fired in the area. No victims or witnesses to a shooting were located. One caller reported they heard the shots to be north of Maple St. A canvass located an individual who believed they were backfires from a small vehicle.
The investigation into the reported shots fired and the recovered stolen handgun is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lebanon City Police.
