The mayor of Carlisle says the July 4th fireworks show might be a no-go. Mayor William Kronenberg said that the borough needs community donations to pay for its annual July 4th fireworks show. Carlisle relies on donations to pay for the display, but so far the city has raised just $16,100 of the $25,000 needed to put on the show.
Kronenberg is encouraging people to mail checks to the borough because he must decide in the next couple of days whether or not there will be fireworks this year.
