A woman who was arrested on charges of being drunk and disorderly during Leesburg's Bikefest last year filed a lawsuit this week accusing law-enforcement officials of knocking out her front teeth and leaving her half-naked for thousands to see.
Ashleigh Davis, 32, was arguing with a friend's boyfriend when Leesburg police officers and Lake County deputy sheriffs asked her and the friend to leave, said Stan Plappert, Davis' attorney. When she refused, Plappert said the officers tackled and "hog-tied" her, handcuffing her hands and feet behind her back.
"During the tackle, her bikini top came off," the Ocala attorney said. With her breasts exposed, Davis was carried off in a golf cart through the crowded festival and taken to the police station, where she remained topless for at least two hours, Plappert said. The booking-room video camera captured the topless woman lying on the concrete floor, surrounding by male officers.
