UPDATE:
Around 645 Tuesday morning, police arrived at the apartment complex on South 13th Street to find a woman who was stabbed and beaten. They also found the suspect, Brian Hankerson, leaving the apartment and took him into custody.
Hankerson allegedly became enraged over something and began beating the victim. He then stabbed her on the left side of her body.
The victim was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for a collapsed lung and possible broken wrist.
The entire apartment was trashed, including the doors ripped off the hinges. Police charged Hankerson with aggravated assault.

It happened just before 7:00 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 300 block of south 13th Street.
Police say the initial investigation points to domestic violence.
The woman is currently in the hospital with one stab wound and her condition is unknown.
Police have a man in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
