From West Hempfield Township Police:
On Wednesday, October 17th 2012 at approx 1:40 a.m., Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Broad St in Landisville (Broad St & Stony Battery Rd area) for a theft from vehicle report. A short time later while officers were on scene, they heard a car alarm sounding.
Officers then located 21-year-old Kristle Lynn Kraft of Conestoga near a vehicle with several items in her possession. Police observed a second person in the distance, but were unable to locate them.
Upon being placed under arrested and cuffed, Kraft struggled and broke free from Officers grasp. Kraft swung at the Officer with one end of the loose hand cuffs cutting the Officers throat giving him a bleeding laceration to the front of his next.
Upon being placed into the holding / processing room at the West Hempfield Twp. Police Department, Kraft slipped free from stationary detention and damaged the rooms ceiling, in an attempt to escape from the room.
Kraft was charged with:
Kraft is in Lancaster County Prison on $15,000.00 bail.
Police later took several reports of vehicles that were entered in the area. Among the items that were reported missing was a loaded 40 cal Taurus hand gun and a Hoyt Laser Tech Bow. They were not among the items recovered with Kraft.

- Institutional Vandalism (M-2)
- Theft From Motor Vehicle (M-2).
