The Aldi store in Camp Hill, Cumberland County is one of several looking for cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees and this weekend the discount grocery chain is holding a hiring event to collect applications for those positions at their stores in Chambersburg, Carlisle, Camp Hill and Harrisburg.
District Manager, Rachel Myers says, "at Aldi we require all employees to be 18 years or older, have a high school education or equivalent, the ability to lift 45 pounds and be available from 6am to 10pm Monday through Sunday."
Training will be provided -- so you don't need to worry if you have little experience or knowledge about Aldi.
And Myers says the ideal candidate needs to possess only 2 things.
Myers says, "I'd say ideally those who are enthusiastic and hard working."
There are full time and part time hours, but as long as you work 20 hours a week you are eligible for a full benefits package.
Myers says there are people who still don't know about the discounts at Aldi -- or are a little hesitant to buy brand names that they haven't heard of -- but for job seekers -- this is a four letter word you need to learn.
The Aldi Hiring Event is Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 7 - 11 a.m. and then again from 2:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Park Inn in Mechanicsburg.
