Continuing coverage of the Jerry Sandusky child sex scandal as a day after motions for a new trial are filed, Sandusky's first victim speaks out to the media and announces a book release.

Sandusky's attorneys got the ball rolling on the appeals process Thursday.

Sandusky was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.  Now the appeals process is underway.

A 31-page post sentencing motion, filed by Sandusky's attorneys Thursday, claims that prosecutors did many things wrong.

One of his attorneys, Karl Rominger, says the most important request in the motion is for a new trial. Particularly since certain victims have since come forward to speak to media and sign book deals.

"If we get a new trial this time around the victims aren't going to be able to say they have no financial benefit or received financial benefit they've all started to file their lawsuits, write their book deals which at the time of trial, they all seemed to think that was nothing they were interested in," Rominger told us.

Rominger says that Sandusky remains at Centre County Prison.
