Jason Edward Pechart, 35, of Lewisberry is facing charges after he assaulted his girlfriend and then threatened to kill her.
Police were called to Pechart's home on Cardinal Lane, on October 20th, and were told he assaulted his live-in girlfriend. The victim told police Pechart squeezed her jaw very hard and choked her with his hands to the point she couldn't breathe.
Pechart told her he was going to kill her and held a large knife to her throat.
The victim was able to get away and call for help. She was taken to the hospital for treatment for pain she received during the assault.
Pechart was taken into custody and was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats and Harassment.
