Jerry Sandusky will have his first visitor next week. That's when one of his attorneys, Karl Rominger, will meet with him inside Camp Hill Prison.

The convicted child serial rapist was transferred from Centre County Jail to Camp Hill Prison Tuesday.

When Karl Rominger meets with Sandusky next week, he plans on making sure the transfer went well, and that they're attending to Sandusky's medical conditions.

Rominger says that Sandusky has a severe form of sleep apnea and he wants to make sure he's getting the treatment needed in the form of a c-pap machine.

Sandusky is serving 30 to 60 years for sexual abuse of ten boys over a 15-year period. The 68-year-old former Penn State assistant coach was moved from Centre County Jail to Camp Hill State Prison Tuesday.

But Camp Hill isn't his final stop.

"Whenever someone is brought in they're evaluated first and not put in to general population, they're put into a quarantine population which is true of all prisoners coming into the state,” explained Rominger Wednesday. “Then over the next several days they'll make determination and then over next weeks/months they'll make advanced determinations about where to place him"

Last week, Sandusky's lawyers filed a post sentencing motion seeking to have the convictions thrown out and asking for a new trial.

The judge has about five months to make a decision, but Rominger expects it to come sooner than that. Of course, CBS 21 News will keep you updated on developments.
