The wife of an ex-York City Cop pleaded guilty to stealing from her elderly Great-Aunt.
Rita Wynegar,52, is accused of stealing more than $300,000 from her Great-Aunt. She's pleaded guilty to one count-others will be figured out in front of a judge next week.
Wynegar must pay back $240,000.
The York County Area of Aging first realized Lidia Coito was being stolen from in 2010, when she was about to be evicted from her personal care home.
Authorities found Wynegar was her power of attorney and had been taking money from her Great Aunt without her permission since 2006.
Wynegar's husband, the former York City Police Officer faces no charges. She will be sentenced in December and could face more than 10 years in prison.
