Susquehanna Township investigating violent robbery with a brick, burglary

Susquehanna Township Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Saturday at approximately 340 a.m. in the 3600 block of North Third Street.

The victim had just arrived home and was attempting to go inside when he was grabbed from behind by two men, both wearing black ski masks and black clothing. One of the men struck the victim in the head with a brick and then both beat and kicked the victim while he was lying on the ground.

The robbers then went through the victim’s pockets and took a small amount of cash, before fleeing on foot.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed this crime, or have information in relation to it, to contact Det Osman, at 909-9232 or 909-TIPS.

Susquehanna Twp Police are also investigating a burglary to a residence in the 3100 block of Schoolhouse Lane.

The homeowner reported that sometime between 930 p.m. on Sunday night and 530 a.m. Monday, a suspect entered the house by removing a window on the first floor.

The homeowner was asleep in a second floor bedroom, and upon waking up found the rear door open. The homeowner reports that cash, jewelry and other items were taken.

Police ask anyone who may have information in relation to this crime to call police at 909-TIPS or Sgt Brubaker @ 909-9246. There is reward money available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible.
