An incident Monday afternoon led to a standoff with police in Conewago Township.
Just before 3 p.m., the Northern York County Regional Police Department was called to 5145 Susquehanna Trail, lot 32 for a domestic incident.
Upon arriving on scene, they met with a woman who said she was moving out of the home Monday when she got into a domestic argument with her baby’s father, Brian Ritz.
During the argument, Ritz threatened to shoot the woman in the head. He then went back inside the home, taking their two-year-old child with him and shut the doors
The woman reported that Ritz did have a shotgun in the home.
Officers set up a perimeter and tried to make contact with Ritz for nearly an hour. Finally, they were able to make contact with Ritz by phone and he surrendered.
The child was uninjured.
Ritz was transported to York County Central Booking on charges of recklessly endangering another person and making terroristic threats.
