UPDATE:
Police in Silver Spring Township are investigating an early-morning stabbing in the village of New Kingstown.
The victim is identified a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s. He was taken to Hershey Medical Center where he was undergoing surgery.
Although his injuries appear serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to a rooming house in the first block of Main Street at 4:20 Friday morning. The call was for an unconscious person.
Upon arrival it was determined the victim had been stabbed. And police were called.
Silver Spring Police were unable to talk with either the victim or the only witness. Both men only speak Spanish.
A Spanish-speaking Carlisle Police officer will be assisting Silver Spring Police with their investigation. The witness is expected to be interviewed as soon as Friday evening.
Police hope they can speak with the victim Saturday.

Police in Cumberland County are investigating a stabbing.
It happened around 430 Friday morning in the first block of Main Street in New Kingstown.
Silver Spring Township Police tell us they were called to a house for a medical call and found a man had been stabbed.
He was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with unknown injuries and recently underwent surgery.
Silver Spring Township Police are investigating and say no one is in custody yet.

Police in Cumberland County are investigating an apparent stabbing.
It happened around 4:30 this morning in the first block of Main Street in New Kingstown.
Dispatchers tell us someone was assaulted, reportedly stabbed, and was flown to the hospital with unknown injuries.
They say Silver Spring Township police are investigating.
No word if anyone is in custody.
