UPDATE:
From Pa State Police:
Two children were transported to York Hospital after their school bus traveled off the road and struck a ditch this morning. At 8:30am, Troopers from the York Barracks were dispatched to the single vehicle crash on the 11000 block of Pomraning Road. The bus driver, 60 year old Bernard Bacon, took his eyes off the road to address children on the bus. When he did so, the bus traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert. Two children on board the bus were transported to York Hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries. Their ages are between 10-12 years old. The bus was towed from the scene.
The bus belongs to the Red Lion School District. It was en-route to an Amish school and the children on board were not district students. According to the investigating Trooper, the driver will be cited for a traffic violation.
