People rushed to the store today to get emergency supplies for the impending storm that’s headed our way.

The biggest item on the list is water. The Karns in Hershey is almost out, but they’re hoping they’ll get more shipments tomorrow morning.

Other stores including Giant and Costco couldn’t put water on the shelves fast enough today – this all after Tropical Storm Lee flooded the midstate last year, leaving many without power.

“My servers keep coming to me saying, ‘Are we going to flood Sheila?’" Sheila Lao is the general manager at Hoss's in Hummelstown. "I say, ‘I don’t know’, but I can honestly not imagine it happening again.”

Hoss’s in Hummelstown was hit hard by last year’s storm, flooding their entire restaurant.

“We couldn’t save anything, nothing. Not one thing could be saved. So it was a complete loss.” Said Sheila.

The water levels reached almost 7 feet inside of the restaurant, and it took about 7 months for them to reopen.

“I’m not gonna lie, all day today I’m thinking of, if this happens, this time I’m taking the computer with me – I’m not losing all my stuff." Sheila continued, "I mean I have a little game plan of incase it even comes in a little bit.”

Hoss’s along with the rest of the community is getting ready for the worst, but hoping for a tame storm.

“I can’t see it happening again – I mean I could see maybe an inch or something like that, but we put drains in on the sides and they’ll help to keep the waters low.”
