We drove all over York County today and saw one common theme, the water is rising in creeks and spilling out into the roads causing dangerous driving conditions.
Visibility is very poor as the rain pours down and the wind whips trees and power lines around and throughout York County.
Around 3 this afternoon, water from nearby creeks start rising fast onto the roadways, causing many drivers to slow down. Some drove right through it, which is a no-no responders say.
It's the same story in Heidelburg Township, where Porter's Fire Company has a shelter open that can fit and feed some 400 people if needed.
Porter's Fire Company Fire Chief, Scott Rabenstine says they're concerned about power. "We're a little worried about it, we have a lot of creeks in the area for flooding power outage that's the main thing we're concerned with."
The shelter will also have plenty of water for everyone. Plus they have a generator which can supply power to the fire house.
The shelter at the Porter's Fire Company will be open and staffed around the clock.
