Northern York County Regional Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General store at 1500 North George Street in Manchester Township.
Employees told officers on October 26 around 8:45 pm a black male wearing sunglasses, gloves, black hat, black sweatshirt and black pants came into the store and waited around until other customers left. When the last customer left, the suspect locked the front door. He showed the two employees a silver gun in his waistband and told the male employee to go to the back of the store.
The suspect tied the male employee's hands behind his back and was put in the bathroom. The suspect took the female employee to the front of the store and forced her to empty the cash registers. The suspect also tied the female employees hands together and placed her in the bathroom.
Both employees were able to escape without injuries and call 911.
