HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvanians are hoping to connect back to the electrical grid, clear debris and get back to work or school after two days of wind-driven rain from the storm called Sandy.
The storm that did so much damage along the coast before it drenched Pennsylvania is being blamed for seven deaths in the state.
It's been more than a mild inconvenience for the million-plus who lost power and for those whose homes were damaged by rain and falling trees. But it hasn't been the disaster for the state that some had feared, and by late Tuesday Gov. Tom Corbett was breathing a sigh of relief.
Corbett says he'll feel even better when more people get power back. About 1 million customers remained in the dark in Pennsylvania as of Tuesday night.
