Route 283 West is back open following a fatal crash in Lancaster County.
It happened just after 10:30 last night in the Westbound lanes of Elizabethtown Road in Mount Joy Township.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious accident on Route 283 in Mount Joy Township.
Scanner reports indicate that a vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer, causing at least one person to be trapped. It is also believed there was a fire.
Traffic crews are closing Route 283 westbound and the passing lane eastbound.
Hazmat crews are also en route due to a major fuel spill from the tractor-trailer.
Early indications state that one person may have suffered life-threatening injuries.

County dispatchers say a tractor trailer and car collided, resulting in a fire and entrapment.
We know that one person was killed and three others were taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for their injuries.
Our crew at the scene said the tractor trailer was hauling cattle and that they saw the truck driver walking around.
