Information provided by County of York Elections and Voter Registration.
The deadline for York County voters to apply for an absentee ballot application will be extended until 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Oct. 30 was the original statewide deadline for voters to submit absentee ballot applications to county election offices. However, Gov. Tom Corbett earlier this week ordered the deadline extended on a county-by-county basis one day for each day a voter’s county courthouse was closed this week.
As a result of the order, the York County Elections & Voter Registration Office will continue to accept absentee ballot applications until 5 p.m. on Thursday.
