We begin with the latest in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

The Attorney General dropped the hammer Thursday, implicating a cover-up of the Sandusky child sex abuse from the very top of PSU.

Former Penn State President Graham Spanier is charged with perjury, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, three counts of conspiracy, obstruction and failure to report suspected child abuse.

Former Vice President Gary Schultz is facing new charges as well. They are two counts of endangering the welfare of children and three counts of conspiracy and obstruction.

He was already facing perjury and failure to report suspected child abuse charges.

Former Athletic Director Tim Curley is also facing new charges. They are three counts of conspiracy, two counts endangering the welfare of children and obstruction.

He was also already facing perjury and failure to report suspected child abuse charges.

Attorney General Linda Kelly announced these charges on all three men Thursday in Harrisburg.

While this has been speculated about for a year, Linda Kelly made it official and did not mince her words.

The Attorney General says the three men purposely covered up Jerry Sandusky’s abuse to protect everyone and everything, except the victims.

A conspiracy of silence between Penn State's top three leaders.

Attorney General Linda Kelly did not sugar coat her stance on the charges against Graham Spanier and the additional charges filed against Tim Curley and Gary Schultz.

“If these men had done what they were supposed to, young men would not have been victim’s of a sexual predator,” Kelly commented.

The indictment alleges it was all at the expense of victims. ”This was not oversight, this was a disregard for Sandusky victims.”

The newest information about conspiracy and obstruction of justice charges is exemplified in the state's accusation of a ‘Sandusky file’ kept in a drawer of Schultz's. Staff was directed to never look at the file.

“Emails, notes and law firm billing hours back up the Attorney General's claims. At least one of the emails mentioned Sandusky's guests.”

An arraignment is scheduled for Friday afternoon in Dauphin County.
