District Attorneys from several counties across the viewing area joined forces to endorse Republican Attorney General Candidate David Freed.
Experience is the difference, that's what the District Attorneys from Lebanon, York, Lehigh, Dauphin, and Lancaster Counties all said Friday. They are united to endorse Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed.
Pennsylvania will have to choose who they want to be there next Attorney General. The choices are former Lackawanna County Assistant District Attorney Democrat Kathleen Kane or current Cumberland County District Attorney Republican David Freed
The District Attorneys attending Friday’s endorsement for Freed agreed experience matters and it is a big difference between the two candidates.
“The experience required as an Assistant District Attorney while helpful and prosecuting cases is not helpful you have to know what it means to be a district attorney,” stated Jim Martin, Lehigh County District Attorney.
“He knows what it takes to run office to have to answer and make the tough decision,” added Dauphin County DA Ed Marsico.
The District Attorney in appearance Friday say Kathleen Kane is trying to make the campaign about distractions like the Jerry Sandusky case.
“David Freed has nothing to do with this investigation,” stated former Lieutenant General Jim Cawley. “We are getting detoured into distractions. The fact is in four days from now we have to pick the next Attorney General.”
