Two former high ranking Penn State officials were back in court Friday to hear additional charges against them stemming from their involvement of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and Vice President Gary Schultz were only in court Friday afternoon for a few minutes to hear the new charges against them and sign some papers. They didn't speak to the media, but their attorney's did and refuted these new charges.

Gary Schultz and Tim Curley rushed in and rushed out of court Friday, without even so much as looking at the many cameras surrounding them.

The former Penn State Vice President and Athletic Director were arraigned on charges of endangering the welfare of children, perjury, obstruction, criminal conspiracy and failure to report child abuse; all related to their involvement in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

Bond was set at $50,000 unsecured, meaning they don't pay it unless they don't show up to court. That $50,000 is in addition to $75,000 of unsecured bond from their first arraignment.

Thursday, the extra charges were announced by Attorney General Linda Kelly. But she also said that the investigation is still ongoing and more could come.

“People of his character do not do, have not done what the charges are saying. I'm saying the charges are wrong. They are false,” explained Schultz’s attorney Tom Farrell.

“Mr. Curley is innocent of these charges. There is nothing, well, there is very little new in this presentment,” added Curley’s attorney, Caroline Roberto. “They are facts that have been repackaged. We will aggressively pursue this case for the next year, like we have for the last year.”

Former Penn State President Graham Spanier also faces the same charges that Curley and Schultz heard read Friday. His arraignment won't be until next Wednesday. He's currently in Iowa dealing with a family death.
