Two people have been arrested for burglary after the homeowner finds them in her home.
Ephrata Police were called to a burglary in progress call from a home on Kennedy Drive on Monday, November 5 around 2 a.m.
A woman in the home was hearing noises from her garage. She got up to investigate and found Adam L. Sweigart, 24, in her home.
Sweigart fled the scene, but police caught up with him and Jennifer L Meehan, 24, in a Ford Maroon Contour.
Both Sweigart and Meehan were charged with Burglary and Criminal Conspiracy to commit Burglary. They also confessed to numerous other burglaries in Ephrata and the surrounding area.
Both Sweigart and Meehan were arraigned and taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Police are still investigating and anticipate more charges being filed.
