On August 10th, 2012 at 2:55pm, The Lancaster City Bureau of Police executed a search warrant at 238 West Vine Street where Saleem Elo and Savannah Gatling-Lewis lived.
The search warrants were the result of an investigation that took place over the past several months. The investigation was led by the department’s Selective Enforcement Unit.
The Lancaster City Bureau of Police had received several citizen complaints about suspected drug trafficking in the area, and specifically the arrested subject’s residence. Routine patrols conducted in the area, along with video surveillance, confirmed the illegal drug activity. Police then began an undercover drug investigation which yielded numerous purchases of illegal drugs from the subject’s apartment.
Prior to serving the search warrant, it was known that Elo and Gatling-Lewis would most likely be at the address.
During the search warrant 12.15 grams of Cocaine were located inside the apartment. In addition, approximately $750.00 in U.S. currency was seized from the apartment.The two subjects listed above were arrested at the apartment and transported to the Police station. Both are awaiting arraignment on listed charges.
