On July 11 2012, at approximately 12:14 am, Officers Paul Blanchflower and Klete Griffin were on patrol in the area of Long’s Park, 1401 Harrisburg Pike. While conducting a routine check of the property, the officers observed a vehicle driving in the park, after the posted 10:00 pm park closing time.
The officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and located three occupants inside the vehicle, including the adult male driver, who was identified as Tyler Pritiskutch. The officers also found two juvenile females inside the vehicle with Pritiskutch, who were 12 and 14 years old. The officers spoke with Pritiskutch, who is a 20 year old Schuylkill Haven resident, and the two female juveniles. The officers then took the two juveniles to the police station and released them to the custody of their parents.
Detective Robert Deeter conducted a follow-up investigation, after receiving information from a family member of one of the juveniles regarding suspected sexual contact between one of the juveniles and Pritiskutch. Investigators conducted additional interviews and learned that Pritiskutch had inappropriate sexual contact with the 14 year old female.
Pritiskutch was charged with two counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse (F-1), one count Statutory Sexual Assault (F-2), one count Aggravated Indecent Assault (F-2), two counts of Indecent Assault (M-2), one count of Unlawful contact with minor (F-1) and one count Corruption of a minor (F-3), before MDJ Mary Sponaugle.
On August 10 2012, Pritiskutch was arrested by without incident at the Lancaster City Police station and was then held for arraignment. Pritiskutch was arraigned earlier this evening by MDJ Nancy Hamil, who set his bail at $100,000. Pritiskutch will be committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of bail.
