Thursday, West Shore School District leaders are expected to vote on a new scheduling system for high school students.
Many parents are upset, saying they were never told about these proposed changes.
Some parents also worry that the proposed change will take away the opportunities for high school students to take elective classes, like music and a foreign language.
In a meeting that will start Thursday at 7, the West Shore School District plans on voting to change the scheduling for it's high school students. The change will make it a six class schedule for a two semester year, referred to as 6X2 scheduling.
Students are fearful this will cut out their elective options and may impact whether they can participate in vocational training at the Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School.
Parents believe the school district is doing this to save money.
