Manor Township Police investigated the following incidents recently:
1.THEFT-During the overnight hours of 12-13 Nov 2012 several of the residents of the usually quiet Pheasant Ridge neighborhood off of Stonemill Road awoke to find that someone, obviously with nothing better to do, had stolen a bunch of yard ornaments from their yards. The items included a blue yard ball, a white goose, three deer, frogs, rabbits and a raccoon, AND a two foot tall statue of the Virgin Mary. (These people have more than the police to worry about now) The items had a combined value of over $300.00 and were taken from yards in the 300-500 block of Pheasant Ridge Circle. Someone has to know something about this folks. These people were just trying to make their homes look nice so let’s help them get their items back. Anyone with information about this Theft is asked to call Officer Chuck Snyder at 299-5231.
2.DUI-Officer Clay Smoker has filed DUI charges against Evan Miller, M/49, Tennyson Drive, Lancaster. At about 2212 hrs on 10 Oct 2012 Officer Smoker stopped Miller on Charlestown Road for a driving infraction while he was riding his motorcycle. Officer Smoker suspected Miller of Driving Under the Influence and his BAC was later found to be .08%. The charges have been filed through MDJ Keller’s office and a summons has been requested.
3.DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE-At about 0900 hrs on Sun 11 Nov 2012 police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Hampden Drive for a domestic related disturbance. Officer Wolf arrived and found that it was a verbal situation and both parties calmed down without further police intervention.
4.HARASSMENT-On 20 Nov 2012 a 48 year old Township man from the first block of Girard Ave reported to Officer Mark Burkholder that he was receiving Harassing phone calls from a female known to him. The woman was advised that halting the phone calls in this domestic related situation would be in her best interest.
5.HARASSMENT-Officer Matt Wolf has filed a citation for Harassment against Jessie Vaquer, M/48, Manor Oaks Dr, Millersville. Earlier this year Vaquer had been advised not to have contact with another Township man whom he has a long standing dispute with. Police allege that on 09 Nov 2012 Vaquer made a threat by phone towards the other man who called police. The citation has been filed through MDJ Keller’s office.
