Harrisburg Police are investigating several robberies that occurred over the weekend in the city.

On Friday evening around 515 p.m., two people were allegedly robbed in the 1600 block of Hunter Street. When police arrived, they found an 18-year-old man lying on the ground with a head injury.

While he was taken to Hershey Medical Center for his injury, the other victim, a 15-year-old teen explained that the two of them were walking to a relative’s home when they were confronted. One of the suspects questioned what they were doing and wanted to know why they were on their block.

The victims ignored them and kept walking. The two suspects followed them and then demanded their valuables.

The suspects then beat the 18-year-old teen, knocking him to the ground. They got away with an iPod.

One suspect was identified as a black male, about 20 years old, 5 foot 10, dark complexion and possibly named Juan. The other suspect was also a black male, about 5 foot 10, dark complexion and somewhat chubby.

Charges are still pending at this point.

A second incident occurred Saturday morning around 520 a.m. in the 200 block of State Street.

The victim, an older Lemoyne woman, had just got out of a cab and was walking to her nearby office when she was attacked from behind. The robber pushed her to the ground and grabbed her purse before taking off.

Later in the afternoon, the woman found out that a homeless man found the purse in a dumpster and used the cell phone to make a call. She was able to get the purse back by giving the homeless man $5.

A third incident occurred at the same time Saturday morning, this time at North 16th and State Streets. A man was walking from his home to the City Gas and Diesel Store when he was confronted by two robbers, one with a gun.

The victim ran to the store rather than give the suspects anything and was not injured.

The suspects are identified as a black male, short and stocky and wearing all black clothing and another black male, tall and thin and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The fourth robbery of the weekend occurred overnight Saturday into Sunday at 230 a.m. A man was downtown drinking and decided to walk to his home in Uptown.

He ended up on South 17th Street and was attacked by two robbers, one of which hit him with a baseball bat. He cell phone was taken in the robbery.

This man was also taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his head injury.

The suspects are identified as two tall, black men, both tall and skinny.

Harrisburg Police are continuing to investigate each of these incidents and if you have any information ask you to call them.
