A woman was the victim of a home invasion in York, and police say the two men tied her up and threatened her with a machete.

Scary moments for the 27-year-old, but police say they do not believe this was a random attack. They also hope someone saw something, since this happened in the middle of the day on Black Friday.

The 27-year-old woman had just walked into her home on the corner of North George and Seventh Streets.

She just came home from walking her dogs, hung up leashes, and about that time two men burst through her door and asking her where the money was.

Northern York County Regional Police Lt. Dave Lash says the woman told the men she didn't know what they were talking about.

“They continued to threaten her, one pulled machete, led her to kitchen, where he forced her down on floor and tied her up with a kitchen towel,” explained Lt. Lash.

The men then ransacked her living room and bedroom. They took off with a small amount of cash and her cell phone.

The woman, still tied up, ran to a neighboring business for help.

“She was very shaken up, a traumatic experience for her,” Lash told us. “We are still trying to determine the motive, but it doesn't seem to be a random act. It looks as if this particular residence was targeted.”

Police have a vague description of the two men, but hope someone may have noticed them running in the area around 1 p.m. Friday on a typically busy section of North George Street.
