UPDATE:
York Area Regional Police are still trying to determine why a Hispanic man was attacked by three others in broad daylight Monday off of Cape Horn Road in Windsor Township.
The police report does not contain many details. A man is carrying groceries along Cape Horn Road when three other men, each white males in their 20’s, get out of a gray car and jump him. They then stabbed him repeatedly.
The motive is not known and the suspects are still out there.
“I have no idea why anyone would do something like that, in this neighborhood,” stated neighbor Dalen Grove.
And that’s what is confusing. This is unusual for Windsor Township as the attack happened on Monday around 2 p.m. on the 3000 block of Cape Horn Road, an area where there is a lot of steady traffic.
Dalen Grove and his wife have lived there for 53 years. It doesn’t add up for them either.
When asked if there has ever been everything similar to this in the area, Grove told us, “no, there’s never any violence here, never, never.”
We found the home of the victim and spoke to a relative, who showed us where the stabbing occurred. The incident took place just a few yards from the driveway.
The relative described what happened as a ‘scary’ and very random attack.
York Area Regional Police continue to look into what could have provoked this attack. They are still looking for witnesses to come forward and anyone with information is urged to call them at 717-741-1259.
The relative did tell us the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
