The secret for living to 100: Don't worry, be happy

It is an amazing accomplishment to celebrate your 100th birthday, but the way the Chambersburg Community has been celebrating Jennie Katusin's century mark takes it to a whole new level.

It was William Howard Taft was the President in 1912. That was who was in the White House when Jennie Katusin was born.  "I live a clean life, I have the love of God."

This birthday is such a big event that there are six billboards were put up in her Chambersburg community help her celebrate.
 
For many years she worked with the girl scouts, but of course that is not all.  "I love traveling, I've done a lot of traveling."

But even at 100 is still able to live largely on her own, in her own apartment, thanks to help from Life Lutheran Services.

That is where Katusin's surprise party happened this morning.

She has some advice for others trying to make it to the century mark.   "Laughing a lot, having fun, not worrying"

In addition to her three kids, Jennie is the proud grandmother of 9, great grandmother to 14 and great, great grandmother to 4.  She is an amazing lady who has lead a great life and still going strong into her second century.
