The West Shore Regional Police Department is investigating two burglaries that happened sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Officers were called around 8:30 am Monday morning to the Grace United Methodist Church. The Pastor went to the church at 309 Herman Avenue in Lemoyne Borough to work in his office. The window to his office was broken and the suspect(s) went into the church that way.
A few areas of the church were ransacked. Police say it looks like the suspects were looking for cash. The loss to the church is minimal.
Police were called to another reported burglary while they were clearing the church.
The owner of Player's Exchange at 225 South 3rd Street in Lemoyne rpeorted that someone unsuccessfully attempted to break in to the shop.
This burglary also happened sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
The church and the store are located directly beside each other. These incidents are believed to be connected due to the close proximity to each other.
